The bricks piled around the set of trees seek to regulate its growth. The chains are supposed to work with the bricks, as both are man-made objects, but the chains are loose and the bricks, disorganized due to a lack of manitinence. The bricks are rough and durable, but the trees continue to break from their grasp and grow with ease. If humans were to disappear, nature would retake our planet little by little despite our civilization's efforts to control it.
